Recycled Art Project for World Oceans Day

Here's a really easy recycled art project in honor of World Oceans Day -

Materials Used:

- 8x8 inch tile, found in a box of about 50 others left at the recycling center. Cost: $0
- Two squares of paper, one yellow, one white, cut from flyers the grocery store bag boy slipped into my canvas bag, without me noticing. Cost: $0
- Misc. paint, markers and a bit of glue...all left over from various things. i can get half-used art supplies at the thrift store and revive them with a bit of water. i can't remember the last time i bought new paint or glue. Cost $0.50 (if that much)

i found the directions for the origami fish, here: http://www.origami-instructions.com/origami-fish.html and then added a few more creases and twists and a snip or two, then painted them. i painted the background free hand, so it's not the greatest!

Anyway...an easy project, celebrating ocean life.
